Rose Tea
Gentle beauty and calm — rose petals that soothe the heart and lift the spirit.
Rose in TCM and Beyond
Rose (Rosa spp.) has been cherished for thousands of years in both Eastern and Western traditions. In TCM, dried rose petals (Mei Gui Hua) are used to soothe liver qi stagnation — the energy blockage caused by unreleased emotions like anger, frustration, and sadness.
When liver qi flows freely, emotional balance follows. Rose is particularly effective for anxiety that manifests with chest tightness, sighing, irritability, PMS emotional changes, and digestive upset from stress. The aroma alone has measurable calming effects — a 2015 study found rose oil reduced cortisol levels within 15 minutes.
